About Algernon Server

Algernon can be used for creating dynamic web pages in Lua. There is a library of built-in functions for handling users, permissions, plugins written in other languages, cookies, headers and more. There is support for Pongo2 templates, Amber templates, Markdown, SCSS and GCSS. This makes web development comfortable and results in shorter and clearer code. Web pages can refresh automatically when source files are modified, making the development cycle from editor to result as short as possible ("live coding"). There is also support for HTTP/2 and self-contained Algernon applications (zipped down collections of files) that can be run directly from the drop-down menu. For writing a web page where users can log in and interact, or for working with large Markdown documents, Algernon should be a good fit.
